Hallway during renovation

Life Safety Upgrades to Buildings 2113 and 785 works to include providing all required civil, architectural, specialties, fire protection sprinkler system, electrical and fire detection & alarm system and plumbing works to renovate and upgrade two Five Star Lodging Facilities with total of 96 rooms. Also included is upgrading elevator fire recall system in Building 2113, and a Design & Build Canopy System for Building 785. The project will provide advanced life safety measures to hotel patrons to meet the current life safety building codes.

All works have been accomplished within occupied hotel buildings while the hotel guests and maintenance personnel were facilitating the buildings. Works have been limited to six rooms at a time while other rooms were occupied, meaning all works had to be scheduled and completed once the rooms were vacant without re-entry. Collette Contracting Incorporated has performed the construction operations simultaneously in both buildings in a very professional white glove manner without disturbing the hotel guests and without a single complaint. Collette has paid special attention to dust and noise protection and such operations have been performed by close coordination with hotel management while the guests were out of the building, and working at times and days convenient to guests. In spite of various revisions and additions, the project has completed 45 days before the scheduled date. There was no accident or loss time since the project commencement. Collette Contractings performance has surpassed all contract requirements and exceeded many to the governments benefit.
